Guinness World Record

About Guinness World Record
Guinness World Records, known from its inception in 1955 until 1999 as The Guinness Book of Records and in previous United States editions as The Guinness Book of World Records, is a British reference book published annually, listing world records both of human achievements and the extremes of the natural world. Sir Hugh Beaver created the concept in order to settle arguments debated in pubs, and twin brothers Norris and Ross McWhirter co-founded the book in London in late August 1955.

Making a much, much bigger version of something that's already, I couldn't invent the giant book. Exactly. Not with that attitude, young lady. We're talking about a Guinness World Record attempt, think of it, it's a quarter of a person's size. Oh my God, Andy's showing us how big it is with his hands and he's right, it's an invention. Innovator, he innovated it. He innovated, it's very impressive though.

There have been a few world's largest rocking chairs. There's one called Big John. These are all in the States, by the way. That was 32 feet tall, got the Guinness World Record. Very exciting. That got blown out of the water by a 42 foot tall one in Fanning, Missouri, which had to be welded to the ground because it was so clearly dangerous. Wait a minute.

Yeah. Yeah. Very dangerous. Interestingly, I got one. If we can jump into another here from Shona Mack, which is also a Guinness World Record, which is the world's oldest continuously operating post office is in the small town of Sankha in southwest Scotland. The post office has been operating on that site since it was established as a staging post in 1712. Pretty good, going. Really good.
