The Maria Theresa Reef is a supposed reef in the South Pacific ; it appears to be a phantom reef. It is also known as Tabor Island or Tabor Reef on French maps.

There was a radio DJ in the 60s who claimed to have broadcast a radio show from a reef called the Maria Theresa Reef that no one has ever been able to find. He swore to his friends that he was there and the water was lapping up to his knees and his deck chair was floating away.
