New York, also called New York State, is a state located in the northeastern United States. Bordering Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut to its east, Canada to its north, and Pennsylvania and New Jersey to its south, it extends into both the Atlantic Ocean and the Great Lakes. New York is the fourth-most populous state in the United States, with over 20 million residents, and the 27th-largest state by area, with a total area of 54,556 square miles (141,300 km2).

I was reading about the fact that they have discovered that Yellowstone, this was quite a while ago, Yellowstone is actually what is classified as a super volcano because the whole thing effectively is one massive volcano. It's very scary because the last time it went off, it produced so much ash that you could have covered New York State in I think it was 20 meters of ash. I'm not sure if they've actually verified this, but I think this is the main theory.
