Other times Sydney came up

  1. As we are, living evidence of, of course. So what about food waste? That's a big problem, isn't it? Yep, yeah. In Australia, you discard 3.1 million tons of food every year. that includes 5 million bananas, which if laid end to end would go from Sydney to Melbourne. Okay. Shame on you. Is that a better use for them, do you think? It would be quite funny, but anyone walking and slipping all the way.

  2. We've lost a lot of apples. That is amazing. Yeah. Yeah, every single Granny Smith is genetically identical to one that was in a house in Sydney centuries ago. Every single Bramley apple grew from a tree in a garden in Nottinghamshire. The Bramley apple tree has one fan club and its fan club is based in Japan. It's the one Bramley apple fan club in the world.

  4. Although there were so many good suggestions, actually, for the name of Canberra. I think my favourites are things like Buncom and Bung Town are there and gone broke. There was one suggestion was Climax. Could have been called Climax. The one that comes up a lot is the name Sid Melad Per Briseho, which is obviously a hyphenated combination of Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Hobart. They thought they'd combine them all. That's such an interesting idea. Very diplomatic.
